About Acorn Autism Specialists

We provide private Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) assessments for children (four years and over), young people and adults

We offer a gentle, personal approach and keep the diagnostic process relaxed and calm for you

We understand how important the outcome is for the person and their family

We use the "Gold standard" assessment tools (ADI-R and ADOS-2) as recommended by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence for children and for adults

We will support you throughout the diagnostic journey with your own designated key clinician as your point of contact

The autism diagnostic assessment is a highly specialist assessment. There are no short-cuts. A less robust assessment, either online or with a sole professional, is more likely to result in mis-diagnoses or an incorrect diagnosis.

Whether the outcome is you, or your child, receiving a diagnosis of an autism spectrum disorder or confirmation that you, or your child, do not meet diagnostic criteria for ASD, we aim to help you develop a better understanding for you, or your child.

With you every step

The same experienced Multi-Disciplinary Team (Clinical Psychologist and Speech and Language Therapist) will be with you through the whole "Gold standard" assessment

Face to face

assessments
